Cashier Position

Position Description:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests when they arrive, asking if they need any help, and thanking them for coming as they leave.
  • Assist customers with the completion of all transactions by being available at the checkout counter when they are ready, charging their appropriate payment form, and packaging any items as needed.
  • Attentively be aware of customers that may have any questions while they are shopping around our space.
  • Promptly answer the phone and refer calls to the intended person or department. Utilize polite phone etiquette and take detailed messages if needed.
  • Bring carts in from the parking lot and return them to their original spot.
  • Be aware of any price changes, sales, or new products.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area.
  • Help maintain a clean store by dusting, sweeping, and washing buckets or vases.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be enthusiastic, hardworking, and a positive team-player.
  • Ability to lift at least 20lbs and be on feet for a majority of the day.
  • Ability to withstand warm temperatures and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Applicant must be at least 16 years old and have a form of transportation.
  • No previous experience required. Must have a willingness to learn!

Event & Floral Intern

Position Description:
No previous event experience needed! This internship opportunity is great for individuals looking to start building their skills in the event industry and learn about the wedding and events industry from a different point of view! Interns are properly trained and then responsible for the following:

  • Assist with the preparation of floral and hard goods for upcoming weddings.
  • Packaging, organizing, and cleaning hard goods.
  • Floral processing.
  • Deliver and set up floral and hard goods to different venues around West Michigan.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by setting everything up specific to instructions.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Internship duration is May-October 2025, with the potential to stay on longer if interested. The internship requires weekend and occasional evening wedding clean-up shifts. No Sunday shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be enthusiastic, hardworking, and a positive team-player.
  • Ability to lift at least 20lbs and be on feet for a majority of the day.
  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license.
  • No previous floral or wedding experience required.
  • Must be available to work Thursdays-Saturdays, with the potential to work more hours if interested.

Part Time Delivery Driver

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have an excellent driving record.
  • Customer service with a smile.
  • Must be able to lift 40+ lbs sometimes with larger deliveries.
  • Familiarity with the Grand Rapids and Greater Grand Rapids area is a plus.
  • A company vehicle is provided during shifts.
  • Hours/days are flexible, but more hours are required around holiday seasons (Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc…). Half days are difficult, but a few full days during the week is best but we are flexible!
  • Must be punctual and efficient with time management.
  • Bonus if you love flowers and plants and love delivering cheer to those around you!

Wedding and Special Events Manager – Events by Ludemas

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Wedding and Event Manager to assist in managing weddings, events, and various administrative tasks. This role involves working closely with clients, vendors, and staff to ensure smooth execution of events.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate client meetings, updates, and event schedules
  • Manage client inquiries, calendar and Trello account
  • Enter new clients, payments, and invoices into POS system
  • Communicate with clients (email, phone, in person) for event details
  • Craft and send detailed emails regarding events to clients
  • Order and manage rentals and supplies for events
  • Communicate with vendors and venues
  • Schedule and organize staff for events
  • Lead day-of wedding set-ups and tear-downs
  • Coordinate marketing for events (social media, flyers, etc.)
  • Plan and facilitate Fall Festival, Holiday Open House, and Hands-On Classes
  • Assist with administrative tasks (ordering supplies, apparel, staff celebrations)

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in event coordination is preferred

Compensation: Hourly wage based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Bonuses included.
